While I would like to consider myself a modern renaissance woman, I have come to realize that the aforementioned title is not one in high demand by employers. However, I do have a very specific set of skills that have brought me to where I am. While I do have a very diverse professional background, this site is exclusively dedicated to my first two passions: writing and modeling. (If you are looking for my technical writing portfolio, please click here. If you are looking for my graphic design portfolio, please click here)
As a journalist and feature writer, my credits include CNN, Newsweek, NBC News, The National Review, Business Insider, Vice, Elite Daily, The Source, HER Magazine, Zora by Medium, Rogue Magazine, Exotic Cars Magazine, and many others. I largely focus on politics, business, feminism, and millennial life in general.
When I'm not writing, I am signed with Moda Talent in Utah as a model and host. I have modeled for over 20 brands including popular fitness wear, swimwear, casual clothing lines for campaigns in Nordstrom, Macy's, and other fashion outlets and brands. I have also appeared in HerSports magazine and numerous runway shows.
I am one of two hosts for the Herspiration podcast, a show about inspiring females making a difference in the world. It can be found on iTunes. I moved to North America when I was seven and grew up between Detroit (way before hipsters made it cool to be from Detroit) and Windsor, Ontario before moving to Indiana for high school and college. I finished college and graduate school in Colorado, followed by a short time in North Carolina while I worked on my PhD in Business Administration, which I recently completed. I can be followed on Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat at @zoeshrugged.
