While I would like to consider myself a modern renaissance woman, I have come to realize that the aforementioned title is not one in high demand by employers. However, I do have a very specific set of skills that have brought me to where I am.
I am a data analyst, technical writer, business consultant, editorial and news writer, host, and model.
I have worked as a technical writer and consultant in the franchising space for the last six years. Additionally, my work with many startups including MediaLab, Buildzoom, Viewly, and others, led me to embark on my own startup journey as a co-founder of Sparkki, before exiting that in September of 2018 to work as a senior data analyst as well as continue my work in franchising.
In addition to freelance technical and content writing, I have writing credits from CNN, Newsweek, Elite Daily, The Source, HER Magazine, Exotic Cars Magazine, and many others to my name. I largely focus on politics, business, feminism, and millennial life in general.
I am one of two hosts for the Herspiration podcast, a show about inspiring females making a difference in the world.
When I'm not developing and building businesses or writing, I am signed with Elevate Talent in Utah as a model and host. I have modeled for over 20 brands including popular fitness wear, swimwear, casual clothing lines for campaigns in Nordstrom, Macy's, and other fashion outlets and brands. I have also appeared in HerSports magazine and numerous runway shows.
I moved to North America when I was seven and grew up between Detroit (way before hipsters made it cool to be from Detroit) and Windsor, Ontario before moving to Indiana for high school and college. I finished college and graduate school in Colorado, followed by a short time in North Carolina while I worked on my PhD in Business Administration, which I completed in 2014. I can be followed on Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat at @zoeshrugged.
